Celebrity Apprentice Parties
Everyone here at Kodak was so excited about the episode of The Celebrity Apprentice that featured our KODAK EASYSHARE All-in-One Inkjet Printers that we threw parties. Viewing parties were held all over where folks could gather to watch the show and have a good time.

200 Kodakers got together to watch The Celebrity Apprentice and munch on wings.

There was a lot of shouting, gasping and cheering.

Alice A. McHail from Human Resources had a party for her friends and family. She said "We had a ball! Way to go Kodak!"

From the looks of this spread this was the place to be!

Cathy Frederick also had a party. Her guests were gathered around the tv to catch glimpses of Cathy during the infamous coffee spill incident.
After his party, Keith H. Davis actually came up with "Things I Learned Hosting an Apprentice Party"

Cut an "X" in the chestnuts before roasting.
When I received my Celebrity Apprentice party pack suggesting New York style foods, my wife and I set to work planning the menu. We settled on mini hot dogs, NY style thin crust pizza, pastrami on rye bread, spicy brown mustard, NY style cheesecake, "Big Apple" strudel and roasted chestnuts. When we called my resident NYC expert, Scott, for further suggestions, he added seltzer water and Nathan's NY Sour Pickles and gave us preparation advice. Cut an "X" in the chestnuts before roasting them or they will explode.

Fun Fur Tangerine Dye Lot #4326 is the best match for a Donald Trump hairpiece.
Some of the 18 guests knew which name tag they wanted as they arrived. Most wanted to be "The Donald" but backed down when they saw the rug they would be wearing. We employed the LIFO rule, "Last In FURst On."
A close second requested personality was Jim Cramer, Host of CNBC's "Mad Money" even though that eliminated you from winning Apprentice Bingo, the game supplied in the party kit.
Epson and HP are running for their AiO printer lives.
Of course the star of the party was a Kodak AiO printer. In our case, it was the table centerpiece - the giant invading New York City with panicked Epson and HP ink salespersons running in dread.

How to read a Paper on a crowded Subway.
Scott came as a New York businessman ready for the commute to Wall Street. He demonstrated how one reads the paper on a crowded Subway without disturbing your neighbor. By folding the paper lengthwise it becomes quite narrow while remaining rigid enough to display the entire vertical column.

Prizes were awarded for the first to complete Apprentice Bingo and the guest representing the celebrity who was fired. No one was surprised that Gene Simmons was eliminated after imploding during the show. Most of the guests have an Epson, Sony or HP printer and produce many children and grandchildren prints. They all got the main message of the show that inexpensive ink is the most attractive feature in the Kodak AiO line, even if Gene never got it. They all have been frustrated by the high cost of replacing the ink cartridges much too often and none of them were getting the quality prints that the centerpiece provided throughout the evening. Most wanted to know where they could pick up a Kodak printer. Everyone had a great time and Thanks Barbara for giving us the opportunity to host a Celebrity Apprentice party.

Tina Clark had the most unique and unexpected Celebrity Apprentice party! Here is her story..
As you know, Kodak was featured on the Celebrity Apprentice last Thursday. There was a big employee viewing party at a local Rochester restaurant. Unfortunately, I was going to be out of town with my coworker, Terry Clas, at the PGA Merchandise show in Orlando - working on ramping up the new Kodak-PGA Tour Sponsorship (which is crazy exciting, but I'll have to save that for another post).
Terry and I didn't want to miss it, so we made arrangements to use a lounge at our hotel and moved dinner up an hour to be back in time to catch the show.
So while at the PGA Merch show, we were at one of the booths with the huge shot simulators and I noticed a woman who looked very familiar taking some swings... it was Omarosa from Celebrity Apprentice!! So I barged over and introduced myself, "Hi Omarosa, sorry to interrupt, but I'm Tina Clark from Kodak and we're so excited about tonight's show!"... she grabbed me and pulled me aside to tell me that she had fallen in love with our products and wanted to watch the show with us that night!! (I also found out she is an avid golfer and, even though she might have a reputation as "one of reality television's arch villains", she was extremely nice to me and to everyone that night (even a very intoxicated obnoxious young man who was falling all over her).
So to our shock, surprise, and delight, our evening turned in to a pretty big viewing party of our own, complete with one of the stars of the show! She even called in to the party back in Rochester to say Hi to Jeff Hayzlett (our own star of the show!). It was very fun to hear her commentary and though she knew everything that was going to happen, she didn't give anything away. She even got Nely Galan on the phone and I said Hi to Nely. Nely told me how much she loves Kodak Gallery and uses it all the time to create photobooks. She is planning to create a Celebrity Apprentice photo book for all her fellow celebs with her pictures. My wheels started spinning... hmmm... maybe we can get an extra one to give away in a contest...
After the show, Omarosa posed for pics and took many of her own too.
It was a surreal evening (but in no way similar to an evening on The Surreal Life - another reality show she starred on) and an overall great evening for Kodak (for Gene Simmons - not so much) =)

Visual art through photography depicts the architecture of our lives, enriched with poetic memories and stories that last a lifetime, and often well beyond. I come from a family where photographs are an integral part of life. At holidays, cameras litter coffee tables, and flashes go off capturing the "Kodak Moments" creating the stories of our lives. My father coached me through my initial experiences in photography, and his words of advice were to always trust Kodak products. My passion for photography changed dramatically when I lost my only child, my son Cedric. In the quiet of my profound grief, I poured over treasured photos and digital media, because these photographs memorialize the gift of his love and keeps the story of his short life alive. One day I will scan and print his photos to share with family and friends, so others will not forget. The piece of graduation cake in the freezer will be gone someday, but I hope that Cedric will live forever in the hearts of those that love him. Kodak has, for over 100 years, been dedicated to preserving the stories of our lives and by offering the Kodak EasyShare 5300, with ink at half the cost, the ability to preserve these essential memories is not only possible, but affordable. I have washed away Cedric's finger prints, his scent from his clothes, and the sound of his laughter is now heard only in my dreams, but I see his smile in each photograph ever taken and, with Kodak's EasyShare 5300, I can afford to share that smile with family and friends.

I believe Photography is not just an art: it is but a global language, spoken, understood, and believed by every human mind. Feelings can be incorporated, emotions channeled into a picture. A printer that produces prints that survive a lifetime would not only preserve a photograph itself, but also immortalize the photographer's feelings with it. It's ink costing half the conventional price would gift the ordinary, middle-class man like me an opportunity to open his heart out to the planet through pictures, without having to worry about towering expenses. And when all this can be effortlessly done, it would keep me yearning for more and propagate the process as an inspiration to the world around me. My memories do mean a lot to me... and because a single photograph speaks a thousand words, a printer like this would secure a lifetime of precious memories.
